Coronavirus COVID-19 FAQs
Bunaken Oasis Dive Resort & Spa COVID-19 FAQ
Do I need to bring anything different compared with normal travel?
We ask that you bring a personal heath kit, to include face masks, hand sanitiser, and any standard medications you would normally need.
What happens with transfers to and from the resort?
As per our standard procedures, we will collect you from the airport in a Toyota Innova: these cars are spacious, and you will be accompanied by the driver and a member of our Reception staff, who will sit in the front.
Our staff will have hand sanitiser which is for general use, and we will also provide facemasks should that be necessary.
Once on board our boat, you have the option of staying inside, or you can sit on cushions on deck and enjoy the crossing to the resort.
My luggage would have been handled by lots of different people; can they be sanitised before going into my cottage?
Yes, we will wipe your suitcases over with an antibacterial solution before bringing them to your cottage, where they will be wiped again.
Do I need to wear my mask around the resort in public areas?
We ask that you wear your mask when you cannot stay 2 meters apart, such as being seated to dine (once seated, you can enjoy your meal mask-free), in our classroom and using rest rooms.
I’ve misplaced my mask – what should I do?
Please inform a member of staff, and a replacement mask will be provided.
Do you have hand sanitiser available for me to use?
Yes, there are hand sanitiser stations throughout the resort and on our dive boats.
Will housekeeping still be servicing my room during my stay?
Yes, we will provide our regular housekeeping service. Our housekeeping team have been fully trained and will wear masks and gloves throughout the service, and will sanitise all of the surfaces, especially the high touch surfaces, before they leave the cottage.
I’ve woken up feeling unwell – what should I do?
In the event that you feel unwell, have a temperature of at least 37.5, and show symptoms of Coronavirus, we will transfer you to Siloam hospital in Manado where you can have a full COVID test. We will ask that you isolate in your cottage until the results are through. Meals and other requirements will be delivered by a member of staff to the door. We will regularly monitor your symptoms, and will immediately transfer you to Siloam hospital should that be necessary.
What if I get really sick and need medical treatment?
In the case that your symptoms are growing serve, we will take you to Siloam Hospital where you will be given expert medical treatment. We ask that all of our guests have a comprehensive travel insurance which includes cover for Coronavirus.
What happens if I cannot fly home and need to isolate in the resort?
We will do our utmost to accommodate you. You will be able to pay for the extra time directly at the resort.
