Operation manager ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and talented Indonesian operations manager for our luxury 5 star dive resort, which is located on a remote island in North Sulawesi, Indonesia.
The operations manager will be responsible to lead an experienced, local team and be in charge of all daily tasks of the operation.
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
• Minimum 3 years work experience in a 5 star resort as Operations Manager or Resort Manager.
• Fluent in spoken English.
• Excellent customer service skills (open and friendly attitude) dealing with many nationalities in 5 star hospitality environments.
• Great communicator with leadership skills.
• Good problem-solving skills, working in a team.
• Highly organised, flexible, pro-active, and performs well under pressure.
• Have exceptional attention to detail and constantly strive to raise standards.
• Excellent references.
• History in housekeeping management, a degree in engineering and experience in a dive resort in Indonesia are bonuses
Your responsibilities will include:
• Ensure the premises are in excellent operative condition to receive and serve guests.
• Maintenance project budgeting, planning and management for entire resort – 12 luxury cottages, restaurant/bar, pool, spa, offices, staff village, etc.
• Responsible for annual budgets and monthly forecasting.
• Manage a team of 50+ Indonesian resort employees in the engineering, carpeting, housekeeping and gardening departments.
• Creating work schedules, hiring new employees and training staff.
• Support and work closely with Chief Engineer, all Head of Departments and Assistant General Manager in all aspects of running the resort.
• Maintaining company SOP’s.
• Conducting daily/weekly operations team meetings with all Head of Departments to discuss routine operational matters, guest feedback, staff issues and action taken for impeccable service delivery.
• Managing department inventories.
• Liaising with suppliers, stake holders, senior management and contractors.
• Liaising with and reporting to General Managers.
